Optimal Health - Feeling Your Best
Your current state of health is similar to the tip of the iceberg - only about 15% of it may be evident, or shows on the surface.

Although you may not have observable physical symptoms, this does not necessarily translate into the absence of dis-ease. In Chinese Medicine, inappropriate diet, lifestyle and emotional states represent key contributors to illness. In today's society, unhealthy diets, inappropriate lifestyles, chronic states of unhappiness, boredom, depression, stress, tension, and anxiety are often the forerunners of approaching physical disease.

Optimal health is not a static state, and it requires that you understand and give the appropriate care to both your physical and emotional wellness. Many of us have lifestyles, diets, habits or situations that we know are destructive, yet we may feel powerless to change them. How you address these issues, and the answers you choose, are often at the foundation of this iceberg. Ultimately, this determines whether the tip of the iceberg, representing your state of health, is one of sickness or health.

Do We Really Need to Take Dietary Vitamin Supplements
Dietary supplements are designed to supply nutrients that are expected, but missing, from the diet. After years of debate, there is now a consensus that, for most of us, many vitamins are missing or deficient in our diets. In an article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the authors concluded that "pending strong evidence of effectiveness from randomized trials, it appears prudent for all adults to take vitamin supplements".
